Senior Software Engineer

Edit this description before publishing — it is a starting point, not finished copy. A senior role for an engineer with 5+ years who is ready to own a system rather than a queue of tickets. You will make the design calls on a significant part of the product, review other people's work, and be the person who decides what is worth building and what is not. This is an individual contributor role. It carries real technical authority and no direct reports.

5+ years shipping production systems, including at least one you owned end to end. Can design for scale and explain the trade-offs to people who are not engineers. Track record of mentoring and raising the quality of a team's output, not just their own.
